Kirk Douglas made a surprise appearance at the Oscars last night (February 27, 2011).
Kirk Douglas, a veteran Hollywood actor, presented the actress "Best Academy Awards last night and 94 years, entertained the audience with a series of hilarious jokes, reports Britain's Daily Telegraph. Douglas reached the stage of ecstatic welcome, and immediately began to play with co-host Anne Hathaway and James Franco. Turning 28-year-old actor, Douglas said: "Wow! Where were you when I make the movie "94 years, then Kirk, referring to Franco's performance of 127 hours," saying, "You look a lot better out of the cave," and even pretend to fight for the possession of his walking stick? Before the name given to the winner, the actress left five candidates on the edge of their seats saying, "You know, I'll never forget this moment." Melissa Leo ended up being the winner for her performance in David O. Russell "Fighter" and talks about the actor said backstage: "He (Douglas) made us this great favor, because he is no longer hooked on it, I've got to be more peaceful."
