Last night's 'Cougar Town' concerned Travis (Dan Byrd) going away to college. The maternal instinct rises to new and frightening levels for Jules (Courteney Cox). Sitting up all night to watch your teenage son sleep is kind of creepy.
Laurie's (Busy Phillips) addiction to drama causes problems with her boyfriend Smith (Ryan Devlin) however she ultimately decides to give their more mature relationship a try. Andy (Ian Gomez) is on the outs with wife Ellie (Christa Miller) for telling her that it's his house and he'll do whatever he wants. Clearly, it's not and he won't.
After driving Travis to his chosen school, only 20 minutes away, for a visit ("I love it so much, I never wants to go home."). Jules drives home in tears where she shares her pain with Grayson (Josh Hopkins). They begin to kiss as he takes her upstairs. Did they actually sleep together? As Laurie observed earlier in the show, "vulnerable women are dangerous".
