Pac Man 30th Anniversary

It's the Pac-Man 30th anniversary this weekend, and Google is celebrating as only Google can: with a free online game embedded in its homepage logo.

The ever-changing Google logo, which often celebrates holidays and notable birthdays, was updated Friday to look like a screen classic Pac-Man game.

But in a delightful twist - the logo actually is a Pac-Man game. Alongside the "Google Search" button, today the site offers an "Insert Coin" button.

Click it once - you get Pac-Man. And added bonus - click it twice - you get Ms. Pac-Man for two players.

Google's and Twitter search trends were burning with Pac-Man related key words as word spread - and (we suspect!) work in offices across the nation ground to a halt and game fans paused to play.

To play, Pac-Man on the Google home page, click "Insert Coin" and when the work "Ready!" appears, use the arrow keys to control your Pac-Man.

If you add Ms. Pac-Man to the mix - Player 2 uses the "W-A-S-D" keys as controllers.
